"This hotel is just lovely. Its a traditional setting with modern facilities. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are bathrobes, soaps, hairdryer, plently of plug sockets, Tv/DVD and they offer a collection of DVDs for a midnight film feast. The pool is fantastic and there is a hot tub for 3. T

he sun loungers are very comfortable and they provide towels for the pool. There is only a small number of rooms and so the pool is not crowded or noisey. The staff are at hand to take drink and snack orders and nothing is too much trouble. The b/fast we had was a selection of breads/eggs/pancakes/jams/ yoghurts/fresh orange/tea/coffee. They do not display menus but just ask, we fancied french fries and bread (chip butties) by the pool and this was 'no problem'. In the evening we had a meal for 8 including tegines and salads. The staff our lovely and very sweet, they were very pleasent to us at all times of the day and made us feel like the only guests in the hotel. The hotel is out of the centre but very secure and as one guest explained, the staff ordered us a taxi with a local firm, very clean/safe car and friendly driver, gave us a return journey with no problems, excellent rate.I would go back in a flash, what more can I say!

Note 10.0/10

"We picked Kasbah Dar Ilham because it was the only hotel on tripadvisor without a negative review. We are here to add yet another perfect review. The place is perfect. The staff notably Abdel and Malica took care of us and made us feel like royalty. If you are looking to relax, bask by a pool that

seems like it's out of the Olympics, drink the best mojitos this side of Havana, and eat bespoke meals under the stars go to Kasbah Dar Ilham. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely. Lots of hot water and nice water pressure for those who are worried about that in a hotel. A nice perk was watching movies in the super modern home entertainment area. We never felt like we were at a hotel...you feel like you are being looked after by an incredible staff (all of whom smile and work hard for your enjoyment) at a friend's house in Morocco. We had only booked 3 nights...but our time was so perfect we stayed another 4 and ended up not even visiting the rest of Morocco as we had planned...such was the exquisite luxury of Kasbah Dar Ilham. The gardens are lush and lovely with flowering trees, olive trees, and palms and expertly and dutifully taken care of by two hardworking gardners who are tireless in tending to the vegetation on the grounds. We were very impressed by their commitment to keeping the property beautiful. The entire complex is secured by a group of security guardswho always make you feel safe.Probably the highlight after a delicious meal made-served by Malica and her colleagues is sitting under the stars by the beautifully lit swimming pool. By the way, we ate every meal in the hotel which was perfect and fairly priced. The two times we ate in Marrakech we were both disappointed by the quality of food and service. All places are tourist traps. If you want authentic Moroccan cuisine...let Malica and her crew choose a nice menu for your dinner. You won't be disappointed! We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Might have been the most satisfactory experience of my life of travels...and after 40 countries ...it's hard to come out number 1...Kasbah Dar Ilham is perfection"

"My husband and I stayed at Riad Ilham in October. We came back home knowing that we would definitely recomend this place to friends and family. We stayed at the kashbah, really a very pretty place, every room has been tastefully decorated, keeping strictly the Moroccan style. Alan and his wife

, the charming owners, managed to find lovely people to work for him, every person from the staff is willing to help to provide the guests with the best experience possible. They are truely wonderful. Last but not least is the food. Make sure you have dinner there sometime during your staying, you will not be dissapointed. It is the perfect place to relax by the endless pool during the warm months, chill out by the fire playing games when the weather isn't that hot, and get ready to visit the Medina as the sun goes down when your batteries are charged up.Unmissable.Andrew and Romina - London "

Nik, le 11 septembre 2008 "Amazing"
Note 10.0/10

" Absolutely AMAZING!My wife and i stayed there a few weeks ago for 4 nights.I had contacted Alain (owner) via email about 3 weeks prior to us going. He was in France, however he was VERY efficient in replying to my emails promptly.Right next door to the RIAD DAR ILHAM, they have buil

t another place called KASBAH DAR ILHAM.Alain suggested that we stay in the Kasbah as this was totally brand new, and all the rooms were suites. And so we did!.....out of this world! I have stayed at some of THE MOST expensive and luxurious places in the world (literally!) and i must say that this rates highly.I arranged with Alain via email to be picked up from Menara airport, and he sent one of his wonderful drivers, Cheriff, whom picked us up in a classic Mercedes. He spoke a little english, but with my conversational french, we were able to communicate ok.Once we got to the DAR ILHAM (about 20mins from the airport), we pulled up to this beautiful estate where we were met by MALIKA (manager/hostess). MALIKA was a wonderful host. She speaks english/french & arabic, and made us feel right at home. She truly is an AMAZING PERSON!Once settled in to our Suite, MALIKA asked us if we would like to have Dinner at the riad...a traditional moroccan style dinner. So we did.At 8pm, she took us over to this beautiful tent in the serene garden overlooking the gorgeous swimming pool where we were met with enchanting moroccan music, a nice bottle of wine and EXCELLENT food. Not bad for the price at all.MALIKA will arrange taxis to and from Marrakech City (15 mins away). NOTE: prices are 250Dhms ROUNDTRIP before 10.30pm, or 300Dhms if you return after 1030pm.One day, we just spent the whole say relaxing by the pool. It was totally worth it.My wife also had a spa day there with a Hammam, Manicure & Pedicure...she totally loved it, and again, it was a VERY GOOD price.ESME (Alain's wife) was a total sweetheart too. She would take us in to Marrakech City if she was going that way, and even though her english is not perfect, she does make an effort and speaks arabic/french. She too was a GREAT HOST.Another GREAT feature about this place is that it is about 15mins outside of the city. I work in New York City, but live in Connecticut, because i enjoy getting away from the noise and pollution of it all. This was the EXACT same thing. The city of Marrakech is wonderful and is great during the day and night. BUT i highly recommend you not staying there because you wont get 1 goodnights sleep. Conclusion: TOTALLY AMAZING. Truth be known, i was going to stay at either the Le Meriden or Sofitel (i normally stay at these chains when i travel) BUT a good friend of mine told me you MUST stay in a RIAD.THANK GOD i did!......DAR ILHAM was more luxurious, friendly and serene than any other hotel i could have stayed at.TRULY WONDERFUL!...thank you to Alain, Asma & Malika"
