Riad Emotion

"It was a bit scary at first, being led to this hotel we had never stayed at with a boy pushing our suitcases in a wheelbarrow leading us up alley after alley. But once we entered the Riad the warm friendly welcome and stunning decoration and style was overwhelming and it felt safe and calming. They

had no issues with us being gay, we did ask before booking and they were true to their word, not a odd look or anything, we were treating so kindly! This is a place that if you show respect as we all should on holiday then they will make every effort to make your stay a rememberable one. On our final days the gorgeous lady of the house whos name now escapes me (it was April 2008 - nearly 18 months ago) took me and Pete into the market place to buy a tagine and spices for us so we didnt get ripped off, we payed a quater of what others were asking for. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything and only a very very short walk to the beach. (trust me it has to be short for me to do it every day) This was a different world and one that i would love to return to and will do so. We would reccemend this Riad if it was anywhere in the world, it was so peaceful and charming. The fact it is in the culture filled stunning seaside location on Essaouira just means it was even more perfect. We would reccemend this Riad to all of our friends."

Avantages

Clean, good shelter from the sun, a different world from England, kind friendly owners who made every effort to make us welcome.

Inconvénients

No TV in room - how English!!! Thats it, it was lovely!
