Medersa Ben Youssef

One of the ochre city's jewels
Built in 1564-65 by the Saadian sultan Abdellah Al Ghalib, the Ben Youssef Medersa is one of the splendid monuments of Marrakech.
With its arab-andalous architecture and craft-industrial wealth, this edifice used to lodge up to 900 students in the 150 cells in search for knowledge in different sciences particularly theology.

Open everyday from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm. Entry for 10 dhs.
