"From the very first minute we stepped into Riad Thais I understood that we made the right choice. Such a shame we came to Essaouira for two days only! I would love to stay there for at least a week! The riad designed in a very unusual manner, compiling traditional Moroccan elements and finishing

with somewhat Gaudi-inspired (round shapes, soft lines, something a bit unreal). Our room on a third floor was very clean, warm and cosy, with nice touches like branded argan oil soap in bathroom and comfy settee-bed next to the window. In the morning we enjoyed delicious crepes for a breakfast on the roof. The atmosphere in the riad is very homey, and it is mostly the merit of owner ? Thais, who is friendly, energetic and very helpful. She has been living in Morocco for years now and knows everything about Essaouira, so you can always get good advice on the places to visit, worthy restaurants etc. The whole visit to the town was a total pleasure and Riad Thais made at least 50% of this! "

"L'objectif de nos vacances était de profiter d' Essaouira mais aussi de se reposer. Nous avons trouvé le lieu idéal chez Thais. Les chambres sont assez calmes mais ne sont pas très grandes, cependant bien suffisantes car nous avons profité de chaque espace du Riad.

La terrasse est très agréable, le patio est l'endroit où discuter, boire un thé, lire, profiter de la cheminée (nous y étions en février).Nous conseillons vivement le hammam et le savoir-faire de Chérifa ou Samir, détente assurée.Thais est une hôte très à l'écoute, de bon conseil, c'est une adresse que nous conservons car nous y retournerons !Cécile et David "

"Riad Thais is a magnificent accomodation place in the middle of Essaouira's medina. After crossing the front door you can leave behind the crowded narrow arabic streets and be immersed in a lovely decorated building in a quiet atmosphere.Thais knows everything about the city and her advices are es

sencial to enjoy the best food and activities in town. I strongly recommend the local breakfast with wonderful crepes and home-made yogourth and to relax in the hammam (avaliable in the riad too).It is also highly recommendable driving quads on the lonely beaches and dunes just a few miles from the city.We were two couples with teenagers and kids and had a really nice time in riad Thais, enjoying privacy in our own rooms but sharing the rest of the building.Thanks for your kindness, Thais!"

"Absolutely fantastic Riad! Thais (the owner) is just so helpful and friendly. We couldn't find the Riad so we called her and she came and met us to bring us there herself (and she speaks english, french and spanish)! The rooms are so beautiful and peaceful. Each one has a different feel and all are

just stunning. It is the nicest escape from the hustle and bustle madness that can be Morocco :) The breakfast is so delicious and the Riad itself is located on one of the two main streets of the Medina so it's so easy to find it once you know the basic layout of the city. We just cannot recomend this Riad enough (and the hammam they have too!) for location, value for money and just how nice it is to be there! I wish we could have stayed longer! "

"Hola, estuvimos buscando por essaouira pero quisimos estar todos juntos..eramos 5 parejas y la verdad es que tuvimos el riad entero para nosotros! salon con chimenea, desayuno y cenas made at home opcionales.terraza, hamame, todo perfecto! cada pareja teniamos nuestra habitacion con baÑo y

con la cama doble asi que estuvimos muy a gusto.Esta en la medina, cerca de todo y la dueÑa, espanõla, nos trato muy bien! Lo recomiendo o bien para parejas o para un grupo si quieren estar todos juntos. "

"We stayed in Thais' house for 5 nights. The house is beautifully decorated and built, with warm bleached stone walls and a big fireplace. Downstairs there's a long table, a kitchen and seats and a television. We stayed in the Berber room, on the first floor, a room with a the most beautiful bath

i have ever seen, with a faucet in golden iron; very elegant.On top of the house there's a beautiful terras, where you can take sun, breakfast or read or drink or talk. la propietaria tuvo mucho que ver y tanto ella como el personal nos acogieron de una manera muy especial.El desayuno vale la pena cogerlo porque esta delicioso y hay mucha comida, la decoraciÓn es muy especial y bonita y por mi parte a nivel de ruido prefiero las habitaciones interiores. RepetirÍa y lo recomendaré a mis conocidos. "

"El riad Thais se encuentra en una calle bastante comercial de la medina y aunque su fachada pase inadvertida, su interior guarda bonitos secretos. Para comenzar su cÁlida cocina-comedor, con Tv, sofas, chimenea, revistas, juegos de mesas, etc. un espacio amplio donde se respira mucha calma. E

n los pisos superiores se encuentran las habitaciones, cada una decorada de manera diferente y especial. Hay dos con ventana a la calle y el resto ( creo que tres mas) dan al patio interior. Las habitaciones no son muy grandes, pero son muy acogedoras, calidad-precio inmejorable. El riad también dispone de una terraza desde donde divisar amaneceres o atardeceres fantÁsticos. Un riad nuevo, moderno, limpio y que ademas ofrece un desayuno muy rico a base de fruta fresca, zumo natural, pan recién hecho y crepes, vale la pena cogerlo.Tanto Thais como el personal que allÍ nos atendiÓ fueron muy amables, ayudÁndonos y recomendÁndonos sitios para visitar o comer. "
