Il s'agit d'un travail où l'on prétend capturer certaines conceptions de la pensée, celles qui influencent les processus physiologique-chimiques du cerveau et qui informent sur la manière par laquelle on effectue "l'emmagasinage de l'information". La voie expressive de ces créateurs canariens oscille entre ce qui est géométrique et ce qui est organique, en tenant compte en même temps du rythme, de la musicalité de la toile, des jeux optiques et de tout un répertoire de la mémoire de la peinture du 20-ème siècle.

Carlos Matallana effectue, pour sa part, une œuvre géométrique de lignes horizontales et verticales entrecroisées. Quant à José Rosario Godoy, il fait des recherches à travers la lumière et l'ombre sur l'espace intérieur. Dans ses œuvres, il s'intéresse à ces espaces frontaliers entre la sculpture et la peinture. Les volumes qui composent ses pièces sont équivoques, puisque la couleur et la manière, qui sont les éléments essentiels de ses tableaux, apportent des informations contradictoires.

L'exposition "Nouvelle abstraction" qu'abritera le Musée municipal d'Agadir, se poursuivra jusqu'au 30 septembre.
